What Is CrossFit?

Crossfit is constantly varied, functional movements executed at high intensity. Workouts are different everyday, helping you find consistent results. They combine movements such as sprinting, rowing, jumping rope, flipping tires, weightlifting, carrying heavy objects, and many bodyweight exercises. We use barbells, dumbbells, kettlebells, gymnastics rings, pull-up bars, medicine balls, and boxes. These elements are mixed in numerous combinations to form the prescribed “Workout of the Day” or “WOD”. The classes are an hour long and typically include a warm-up, skill or strength development session, the WOD. Performance on each WOD is scored by you to track your progress and provide friendly competition and/or to give you benchmarks to see your consistent results!

Tired of the gym routine? CrossFit Republic isn’t a gym at all. It’s not a place where you reluctantly go after work, plug in your head phones to avoid unwanted interaction and do the same old routine.

CrossFit Republic is the place you can’t wait to go after work to unwind and release, where everyone knows your name and you feel a sense of belonging. You’re instantly part of our CrossFit family.

We offer classes all day on weekdays as well as class on Saturday and “Open gym” time on Sundays. A coach will always be available to assist you. We also offer several other programs you can view, to help you achieve any goals you have!

Learn to CrossFit

Whether you’re new to working out, following-through on a New Year’s Resolution, are a seasoned veteran looking to make a comeback, or an elite athlete striving to take their training to the next level, CrossFit Republic’s Learn To Crossfit program is designed to bridge the gap between new members and our CrossFit group classes. A required class, we meet Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday nights at 6:30pm for a 3 week period.  The “Learn To” class stands to further your understanding of exercise fundamentals, Crossfit movements, build a foundation and help you achieve your everyday life, fitness or athletic performance goals. If you cannot make all 9 classes, please let us know as we will make it work, and in the mean time attend all that you can to help you become as comfortable as possible with our results driven program.
